SafeMom

SafeMom was launched in 2022 to address the high maternal and neonatal mortality in underserved areas

of Lagos, Nigeria. Leveraging the widespread use of mobile phones, it offers subsidized, minimal-internet-

dependent digital solutions to improve pregnancy outcomes. The SafeMom packages are designed to

keep pregnant women well-informed about maintaining their health during pregnancy, with content

delivered in preferred languages to eliminate language barriers. Depending on the subscribed package,

pregnant women are also provided with pregnancy kits, link to antenatal care, home services, and

ambulance support for obstetric emergencies. By integrating mobile technology with life-saving

interventions and collaborating with local healthcare providers, SafeMom bridges critical care gaps and

empowers women to maintain optimal health during pregnancy.
