Cost-Effective Indigenous Innovations to Strengthen Complementary Feeding for Children Under Five Years in Nigerian Communities
Nigeria is currently at the epicentre for a nutrition emergency, with over 30 million malnourished children.
Do you have a homegrown solution that improves nutrition and complementary feeding for children under five years in Nigeria?
Are you a caregiver, youth innovator, community group, or organization with a practical idea that's changing lives?
WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU!
We believe the most powerful, lasting solutions are already in our homes, markets, farms, and communities. Let's find them together.
We are seeking innovations that:
• Improve the nutritional value of diets for children under five years using local, affordable ingredients
• Empower caregivers with culturally-appropriate knowledge and tools to improve complementary feeding for children under five years
• Reduce child malnutrition, illness, and mortality among children under the age of five
• Promote dignity, resilience, and self-reliance through the application of indigenous knowledge and local resources
• Have the potential to be scaled up across Nigeria's six geopolitical zones
Instruction
We welcome existing solutions as long as they are practical, affordable, locally driven, and impactful.
Your idea could nourish the next generation. Apply now and help reshape Nigeria's nutrition future!
